In honor of Stress Awareness Month, Health Advocate’s Wellness Coaches held a special event at the Plymouth Meeting office to promote stress relief and relaxation. This event offered Health Advocate employees an opportunity to learn about and try out various methods of relaxation.
Employees were greeted and given a special gift (a stress ball, stress mints, and a booklet of stress-reducing tips) for attending. They also had an opportunity to enter into a raffle to win stress relief prizes. Wellness Coaches staffed several tables with activities ranging from “tossing stress away” (where employees wrote down their stressors, crumpled them up, and tossed them through a basketball hoop into the trash), stress relief journaling, yoga, unwinding with sand play, and coloring for stress relief. In addition, other tables featured information about drinking tea and aromatherapy for stress relief.
Employees who participated in the event shared contributions to two posters–one pertaining to hobbies and the other a collective vision board where employees selected pictures of things they enjoy or aspire to accomplish.
The event had a great turnout. We’ll be holding several other events throughout the year, so be sure to keep an eye on the Health Advocate blog to see what our Wellness Coaches are up to next!
