Now that that weather is getting warmer, it’s a great idea to take your workout outdoors! Our members usually have excellent fitness ideas, so I recently asked them to share their favorite outdoor workouts, or workouts they’re planning to try. Here are a few of my favorite responses:
This week I will practice karate in the park after work. I will alternate this with jogs around the neighborhood before dinner. – Rachel
Friends and I from the gym are meeting at the local parkthis week to do a mini boot camp on a night our gym does not offer it. – Trista
I like taking my dogs for a walk up the hills in my neighborhood. It is equipment-free and cost-free. – Penny
I will be walking in the Relay for Life, American Cancer Society walk this weekend. I have a team of 13 co-workers walking with me, rain or shine, and we have raised $3,774.00! – Cynthia
Each weekend, my family and I walk on the nearby walking and biking trail. By walking the full length of the trail, up and back, we walk close to 6 miles. – Crystal
Riding my mountain bike – will push to get to 20 miles a day in the coming month. – Roger
Tricep dips on a bench are a good idea. I already walk around the playground when my twins are playing! – Janet
I like walking around NYC – keeping up with the crowd and walking to different areas instead of using a cab or bus. – Christina
I currently get outside to walk/jog as much as possible. I will try to find a walking path that will take me by stairs and include them in my workout rather than just walking by them. – Cele
I will be going on a hike along the river. – Bert
Since the nice weather is finally here, I plan on taking my dogs for a jog on the beach this week. – Virginia
