On May 9, the company held a special lunch to show its appreciation for the Health Advocate nursing team, presenting them with a gift of flowers in recognition.
“Just like Mother’s Day is every day, Nurses Week is really every week,” said Dr. Tom Wolk, a Health Advocate Medical Director, during the luncheon. “But we’d like to take this special opportunity to thank you for all the work you do to help people every day.”
Nurses at Health Advocate serve as an important resource, helping members with a variety of clinical issues such as finding doctors, scheduling appointments, obtaining second opinions, and researching treatment options, among many other tasks.
On behalf of its nurses, Health Advocate has made a donation to the American Cancer Society to support their mission to prevent and fight cancer.
